i get sunburnti get sunburnt | 2007 It is unnerving to realize that we must “rethink the ground beneath our feet” (Pannell,), that we need to question our occupancy in relation to our origins. With our European cultural and intellectual heritage and the physical/social/cultural/spiritual realities of the Australian continent “we have been lead to constantly re-invent ourselves as a continent and as a people”. (Cameron, 2003) This project was completed for my Bachelor of Fine Arts (Photography) at RMIT in 2007 as a 21 year old. Although I have grown much since then, I am not ashamed to show where I began.
